Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  • Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a base.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips and drizzle caramel sauce over the base.
  • Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars can be served warm or at room temperature. Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days, or refrigerate for longer storage.
