  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in the milk, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 32–38 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting.

Frosting

  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add powdered sugar and vanilla, then slowly stream in the heavy cream and whip until fluffy peaks form.
  • Spread the frosting generously over the cooled Orange Dreamsicle Cake.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, orange juice, and zest until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the top for that glossy bakery-style finish.
  • Decorate with whipped cream swirls, orange slices, and fresh mint leaves.
  • Chill before serving for the best creamy texture and refreshing citrus flavor.
