Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 cups Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Cheesecake Filling

  • 450 g cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup very cold heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons warm water For dissolving gelatin
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos

Chocolate Frosting

  • 1/2 cup cream For frosting
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter Optional, for shine
  • Extra Oreo crumbs or pieces For decoration

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine the crushed Oreos with melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 20 cm springform pan. Place it in the refrigerator to chill.
  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. In another bowl, whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
  • Carefully fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture with a spatula. Add the vanilla extract.
  • Soak the gelatin in warm water for 5 minutes, then mix it into the creamy filling. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.

Assembly

  • Pour the prepared filling over the chilled base and smooth the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for about 4–6 hours or until the cheesecake is fully set.

Frosting

  • Heat the cream gently (do not boil). Pour it over the chocolate pieces and let it sit for 1 minute. Stir until the mixture is smooth and shiny, adding a tablespoon of butter if you want extra shine.
  • Allow the frosting to cool slightly, then spread it over the cheesecake while it thickens.
  • Top with extra Oreo crumbs or pieces for decoration.

Cooling

  • Let the cheesecake cool in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

This Oreo Cheesecake can be served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze for up to 2 months, thawing in the refrigerator before serving. For a smoother filling, take your time folding whipped cream into the mixture.
