  • Frying pan or griddle
  • Spatula
  • Shallow dish or plate
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white sandwich bread crusts removed
  • 8 mini peanut butter cups or 4 regular ones, halved
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 2 tablespoons butter for frying
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon for rolling
  • Optional: maple syrup powdered sugar, or chocolate drizzle for serving

Instructions

Flatten Bread:

  • Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread until thin.

Add Filling:

  • Place a mini peanut butter cup near one edge of each bread slice. Roll the bread tightly around the candy and pinch the edge to seal.

Make Egg Mixture:

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and optional cinnamon.

Dip and Fry:

  • Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Dip each roll into the egg mixture, then place seam-side down in the pan. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • In a small dish, mix granulated sugar with cinnamon. Immediately roll hot French toast rolls in the mixture to coat.

Serve:

  • Serve warm with maple syrup, chocolate drizzle, or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Tips:

  • Best served fresh and warm for gooey peanut butter cup goodness.
