  • 1 package graham crackers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped Use fresh chopped pecans for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce For extra caramel flavor, drizzle additional caramel sauce before serving.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In another bowl, fold in the whipped topping.
  • In a parchment-lined dish, layer graham crackers on the bottom.
  • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crackers.
  • Drizzle with half of the caramel sauce and sprinkle with half of the chopped pecans.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with pecans and caramel on top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Notes

Best served cold. Slice into squares and serve with a dollop of whipped cream or sprinkle of chopped pecans. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For a healthier version, use low-fat cream cheese and sugar substitute.
