  • 1 package potstickers (frozen or homemade) Use good quality store-bought or homemade potstickers.
  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth Use good-quality broth for the best flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced For more aroma, consider adding a strip of ginger to the broth while it simmers.
  • 2 cups baby spinach or other greens Add delicate greens at the end for better texture.
  • 2 whole green onions, sliced
  • soy sauce, to taste Taste and add soy sauce slowly.
  • sesame oil, for drizzling Drizzle on top before serving.

Preparation

  • In a large pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add the potstickers and cook according to package instructions or until they float.
  • Stir in the baby spinach and sliced green onions.
  • Season with soy sauce and drizzle sesame oil on top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freezing, remove the greens first and freeze broth and potstickers separately for up to 1 month. Serve hot in deep bowls and let everyone add their own toppings.
