Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 1⅔ cups sugar
  • cup evaporated milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Chocolate Mixture

  • 6 ounces dark chocolate chips (or cooking chocolate)
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans or hazelnuts, optional) Optional ingredient for added texture

Instructions

Cook the Fudge Base

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full boil.
  • Once boiling, continue stirring for about 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.

Add the Chocolate

  • Remove the saucepan from heat. Immediately add the dark chocolate and stir until fully melted and smooth.

Finish the Fudge

  • Add the mini marshmallows, vanilla extract, and chopped nuts (if using). Stir until everything is completely melted and evenly combined.

Set the Fudge

  • Pour the mixture into a lightly greased or parchment-lined square pan (about 20 × 20 cm). Smooth the top evenly with a spatula.
  • Let the fudge cool at room temperature until firm, then cut into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. Refrigerate for up to 1 week for a firmer texture. Fudge can also be frozen for longer storage.
