Ingredients
  

For the Crumble Topping

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling

  • 4 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced Use fresh apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Press half of this crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared baking pan.

Filling

  • In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon. Spread this apple mixture evenly over the crumb layer.
  • Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the apples, ensuring it’s distributed well.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the caramel and apples.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let the bars cool completely before slicing them into squares.

Notes

These bars are best enjoyed fresh or after a little time in the fridge. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzle extra caramel sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
