Ingredients

For the Margarita

  • 2 oz Tequila e.g., Patron silver
  • 2.5 oz Pomegranate juice
  • 2 oz Tangerine juice or orange juice
  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur e.g., Cointreau
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • ¼ tsp Vanilla extract
  • tsp Ground cinnamon
  • tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 sprig Rosemary for garnish
  • Ginger beer optional, for bubbles

Instructions

Preparation

  • Run a slice of tangerine or orange around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim into a cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Fill the glass with ice.

Mixing

  • Add pomegranate juice, tangerine juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and a pinch of cayenne pepper to a cocktail shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake for 15 seconds until well-chilled.

Serving

  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Add a splash of ginger beer for a bubbly, festive touch if desired.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Notes

For a mocktail version, skip the tequila and orange liqueur, add extra pomegranate juice with more ginger beer. The cocktail is best fresh and should not be stored with ice or ginger beer until serving. Chill the glass for an extra crisp sip.
