Ingredients
  

For the Margarita

  • 2 oz Tequila (recommended: Patron silver) Use a blanco (silver) tequila for the best flavor.
  • 2.5 oz Pomegranate juice Fresh juice is recommended for better flavor.
  • 2 oz Orange juice Fresh juice for a brighter flavor.
  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur (e.g. Cointreau)
  • 1 tbsp Honey Adjust for sweetness as desired.
  • ΒΌ tsp Vanilla extract
  • β…› tsp Ground cinnamon
  • β…› tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 sprig Rosemary For garnish.
  • Ginger beer (optional) Use for a bubbly version.

For the Rim

  • to taste Cinnamon and sugar mixture Mix cinnamon with sugar for rimming the glass.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix a small amount of cinnamon and sugar on a plate for the rim.
  • Run a slice of tangerine or orange around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Fill the glass with ice.

Mixing the Cocktail

  • Add pomegranate juice, tangerine juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and a pinch of cayenne pepper to a cocktail shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake for 15 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Add a splash of ginger beer for a bubbly, festive touch (optional).
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a sprig of rosemary.

Notes

Serve in rocks glasses over ice with a cinnamon-sugar rim. A sprig of rosemary adds aroma. For a non-alcoholic version, skip tequila and orange liqueur, adding extra pomegranate and orange juice with ginger beer. Store pre-mixed margarita (without ice) in the fridge up to 24 hours.
