Ingredients
  

For the cake mixture

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix Any preferred cake mix can be used.
  • 1 cup frosting (vanilla or any preferred flavor) Customize the flavor to your liking.

For coating

  • 2 cups melted candy coating (white or colored) Use white, colored, or chocolate coating.
  • 12 sticks Lollipop sticks Required for holding the cake pops.

Preparation

  • Bake the vanilla cake according to the box instructions and let it cool completely.
  • Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  • Mix in the frosting until well combined.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to firm them up.

Coating and Decorating

  • Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted candy coating, then insert it into the cake pop.
  • Dip each cake pop into the melted candy coating, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  • Place the coated cake pops into a stand or styrofoam block to allow them to harden.
  • Decorate with sprinkles or additional chocolate if desired.

Notes

Store the cake pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for up to a month. Let them thaw in the fridge before serving. Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized balls and feel free to experiment with cake flavors.
