  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional) Add more for extra heat.
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch For coating the chicken.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For frying the chicken.
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) Cook according to package instructions.
  • 2 green onions chopped For garnish.
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional) For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes to make the sauce.
  • Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Let it simmer until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.

Noodle Assembly

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce and chicken.

Garnishing

  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For more heat, add more red chili flakes. To thicken sauce, let it simmer longer. Consider adding vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
