Preparation of Cake

  • Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.

  • Prepare the batter as directed and divide evenly between pans.
  • Bake until done, then allow the cakes to cool completely before removing from the pans.

Melting the Chocolate

  • Melt chocolate chips in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth.
  • Let cool slightly but keep pourable.

Preparing Ice Cream Layers

  • Top with remaining strawberries and drizzle remaining melted chocolate.

Finishing Touches

  • Spread whipped cream across the top.
  • Drizzle hot fudge sauce generously and create decorative swirls.

Freezing

  • Freeze the assembled cake for at least 2 hours, preferably longer, until firm.
  • When slicing, use a warm knife for clean cuts.

Notes

Freeze cake layers 30 minutes before assembling for easier handling. Use parchment paper under the cake for easy transfer. Work fast during assembly and store in the freezer, not in the refrigerator.
