Ingredients
  

Peach Filling

  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches Use juice if canned; no need to drain.

Cobbler Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 cup milk Any milk works; can use plant-based.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted for easier mixing.
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder Provides leavening.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, milk, melted butter, and baking powder until just mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Dump peaches on top of the batter, juice included, and do not stir.
  • Dot the top with additional butter if desired.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
  • Add a handful of blueberries or raspberries for a fancier touch, if desired.

Notes

This cobbler tastes even better the next day, so feel free to make it ahead of time. It's perfect for potlucks and gatherings.
