  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes Make sure they are sweet
  • 1 head romaine lettuce Any crisp lettuce works in a pinch
  • 1 cup croutons Store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing Homemade or bottled
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan Optional but recommended for flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Let your tomatoes sit out on the counter while you prep.
  • Slice the tomatoes into desired thickness.
  • Wash and tear the romaine lettuce, do not chop.
  • In a large bowl, layer the tomatoes, croutons, and lettuce.
  • Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  • Add freshly grated parmesan on top before serving.

Notes

Keep the dressing on the side if there are leftovers to prevent sogginess. This salad pairs well with grilled cheese or tomato soup.
