Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate, depending on preference
  • 1 tablespoon butter for melting chocolate

Instructions

Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling:

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. Mix them thoroughly until you have a smooth, thick filling. This will be the base of your peanut butter cups. Set the mixture aside.

Melt the Chocolate:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.

Line the Cupcake Tin:

  • Line a muffin tin with paper cupcake liners to help easily remove the cups once they’re set.

First Layer of Chocolate:

  • Spoon about a teaspoon of the melted chocolate into the bottom of each cupcake liner, spreading it evenly to form a thin layer. Place the muffin tin in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes to let the chocolate harden.

Add the Peanut Butter Mixture:

  • Once the chocolate has set, take a small amount of the peanut butter mixture and roll it into small balls, about the size of a marble. Place each peanut butter ball on top of the hardened chocolate layer in each muffin cup. Gently press them down to flatten slightly.

Top with More Chocolate:

  • Spoon the remaining melted chocolate over the peanut butter filling, completely covering it. Use the back of the spoon to spread the chocolate evenly across the top.

Chill and Set:

  • Place the muffin tin back in the refrigerator and let the peanut butter cups set for at least an hour, or until the chocolate is firm.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Once the chocolate has hardened, remove the peanut butter cups from the fridge and gently peel off the cupcake liners. Your Valentine Peanut Butter Cups are ready to enjoy! Package them up in a cute gift box or jar to give as a special Valentine’s Day gift.
