For the Brownie Cupcakes

  • 1 box Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2.5 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Hot Coffee
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 packet Fudge Packet (optional) Optional for enhanced chocolate flavor

For the Frosting

  • 1.5 sticks Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2.5 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1-2 tablespoons Milk For desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: brownie mix, flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Whisk until well mixed.
  • Add the wet ingredients (eggs, sour cream, fudge packet if using, hot coffee, and melted butter) to the dry mix. Stir until well combined.
  • Fill each cupcake liner with about 1/4 cup of the batter.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes. Check if they’re done by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean or with a few crumbs.
  • Once baked, remove the cupcakes from the pan immediately and let them cool on a wire rack.

Serving

  • Serve warm or let them cool completely and frost for an extra sweet touch.
  • Enjoy plain, or add whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, or sprinkles on top.

Notes

Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature. Don’t overmix the batter for a fudgier texture. Explore adding nuts or chocolate chips for variety.
