Ingredients
  

For the Steak Bites

  • 2 lbs sirloin steak (cut into cubes) Choose a good quality sirloin for best results.
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For searing the steak.
  • to taste Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, black pepper, paprika, and salt.
  • Add the cubed sirloin steak to the bowl, tossing to coat the meat evenly.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes until browned on the outside.
  • Transfer the browned steak to the crockpot.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the steak in the crockpot.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

If desired, let the meat marinate in the sauce for a couple of hours before cooking. For a thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last hour of cooking. You can also add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
