Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup peanut butter Crunchy or smooth, depending on preference.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Flatten each ball slightly with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw at room temperature before serving.
