Pizza Base

  • 1 each pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)

Stuffing

  • 8 sticks mozzarella string cheese sticks Place around the edge for stuffed crust.

Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce Spread evenly over the dough.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Add on top of sauce.
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni Layer on top of the cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Sprinkle over the toppings.
  • Olive oil (for brushing) For added flavor.
  • Flour (for dusting) To prevent sticking.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to form a large circle.
  • Place mozzarella string cheese sticks around the edge of the dough, fold the dough over them, and seal to create a stuffed crust.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base of the dough.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by sliced pepperoni, and sprinkle Italian seasoning.
  • Brush the crust with olive oil for extra flavor.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

Make sure to seal the edges of the crust well, so the cheese doesn’t leak out. You can add other toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives for added flavor. For a crispy crust, use a pizza stone if you have one.
